What Makes PAX Different?
We at PAX Learning center believe that teaching is an art, not a science. Rather it is an art based in science. Therefore, we take a person-centered approach to helping people learn.
You, the student, are our number one stakeholder. We see each student as a unique person who may learn differently than others. Our approach is individualized. Learning is about you and at your pace, not ours. You will not be working in a regular style class centered on one teacher, forced to work at someone else’s pace. Instead, you will be working in a classroom where there is one tutor/teacher to every three students.
Your goals are our goals, we are merely guides being permitted, by you, to join you on this part of your journey. We will work with you to help you fill gaps, whatever they are. Its not just about the GED or learning ESL, it is about creating a foundation upon which you can build. Some students need to learn how to set and achieve goals, others need to learn time management, or study skills. We also try to help you build confidence if needed.
Yes, we help you work on math, reading language arts, social studies and science, but these are building blocks being placed upon the foundation mentioned above. With PAX you can move at your speed, build yourself at your pace. We will only work on those things that need to be learned and mastered.
We believe in you.
Passion: being driven by a desire to help people succeed and achieve their dreams. Second, Patience: change takes time. Third, Flexibility: being able to change and adapt to each student's needs. Fourth, Genuine Care: the student is our number one stakeholder, putting students and their success first. Fifth, Humility: it is not a teacher to student relationship, it is peer to peer. Finally, Resilience: being able to bounce back no matter what.
Tia fought hard and won, earning her GED In July. Way to go young lady. You did a great job and persevered.
CONGRATULATIONS
This young lady earned her GED and then registered into a dental tech program and was then hired on into a dentist office. With a GED or Diploma, you will earn more and reduce your chance of being laid off.
Upon earning his GED, this student was placed into an internship. That internship was with PAX Learning Center. His experience has helped him consider becoming an educator.
We offer several master level teachers and highly trained tutors who support your every step of the way. Set your own time, learn at your own pace, and in your own style.
