What Makes PAX DIfferent?
PAX Learning Center believes that teaching is primarily an art form based on science. Therefore, we believe students are the main stakeholders, the very reason for being. Each student is a unique person and learns differently. We believe in discovering what makes each student a better learner. Our curriculum is designed to be flexible, to be shaped to the needs of each student. No student moves on until they have mastered the content of each lesson. There is no shame in admitting that one does not understand the subject, rather there is glory in admitting it, staying the course, and conquering it. PAX tutors spend a great deal of time healing educational wounds, which helps students learn self-esteem and confidence in themselves. Each step the student takes is monitored. We call these steps qualitative data. These achievements or successes are not numerical data. An example would be a student who misses a lot of class. However, one day the student starts to show up to class regularly, or a student who does not do homework, begins to do homework, a student who would not participate in class one day starts to participate are all qualitative gains. Qualitative gains become the foundation upon which the student builds. The ultimate quantitative data that are important is when a student earns earn a GED, exits to work, or to another program.
We believe in you.
Our core values are as follows: First, Passion:being driven by a desire to help people succeed and achieve their dreams. Second, Patience:change takes time. Third, Flexibility: being able to change and adapt to each student's needs. Fourth, Genuine Care:the student is our number one stakeholder, putting students and their success first. Fifth, Humility:it is not a teacher to student relationship, it is peer to peer. Finally, Resilience: being able to bounce back no matter what.
Tia fought hard and won, earning her GED In July. Way to go young lady. You did a great job and persevered.
This young lady earned her GED and then registered into a dental tech program and was then hired on into a dentist office. With a GED or Diploma, you will earn more and reduce your chance of being laid off.
Upon earning his GED, this student was placed into an internship. That internship was with PAX Learning Center. His experience has helped him consider becoming an educator.
We offer several master level teachers and highly trained tutors who support you every step of the way. Set your own time, learn at your own pace, and in your own style.
